ROTO CHATTER EXPERT UPDATE (Week 2 is completed)

#1 Overall

#1 QB

#4 RB

#1 WR

#1 TE

#3 FLEX

#2 Kicker

#1 D/ST

AFC EAST

NEW YORK JETS

Another week of the Jets being a joke.

Geno Smith looked okay, but there is not much to say.

Chris Ivory is behind Bilal Powell, who is a RB#4 at best.

Santonio Holmes wants to be #1, but he is #4 at best on our Fantasy Rosters.

Jets Defense is playing better than expected, still not a Top Tier unit.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

Tom Brady needs his weapons.

Stevan Ridley is playing himself out of a job. LeGarrette Blount has his chance.

Julian Edelman will be relevant until Danny Amendola returns.

Gronk could be back Week 3.

NE D/ST looked good in an easy matchup.

BUFFALO BILLS

EJ Manuel came alive late.  Good to see him get the passing yards.

CJ Spiller owners are hating Fred Jackson as much as Foster owners are hating on Tate.

Stevie Johnson has emerged as the clear #1. Just in case anyone was worried about Woods.

BUF D did it’s thing against a shaky Cam Newton.

MIAMI DOLPHINS

Ryan Tannehill is looking like a stud this season.

Daniel Thomas took a backseat to Lamar Miller who went untouched on his 14 Yard TD.

Mike Wallace was back with another episode of 60 Minutes.

Brian Hartline is the steady #2 target.

Charles Clay emerged as he was one of the favorites of BEAST DOME this preseason.

AFC NORTH

CINCINNATI BENGALS

PITTSBURGH STEELERS

BALTIMORE RAVENS

Ray Rice should be fine moving forward.  Injury to hip is concern.

Bernard Pierce is Must-Own if you have Ray Rice.

Joe Flacco could not get the passing game going with his weak WR core.

Baltimore Defense rose to the challenge against a hopeless Browns team.

CLEVELAND BROWNS

Brandon Weeden misses Josh Gordon.

Trent Richardson did all he can to get some valuable yards. Defense knew he was coming.

Jordan Cameron led the way with 95 Yards.

Greg Little led the way in targets, last time before Gordon returns.

Cleveland Defense did it’s job, the offense did not.

AFC SOUTH

HOUSTON TEXANS

Matt Schaub will hope Andre Johnson is fine from possible concussion.

Ben Tate is a dominant RB, Arian Foster is the one they trust.  Both eat each others value.

Andre Johnson possible concussion. DeAndre Hopkins was a BEAST at the end of the game.

Owen Daniels owners are hating Garrett Graham who continues to steal production.

Texans D/ST did not do much on Sunday.

TENNESSEE TITANS

Jake Locker is looking like a better version of Alex Smith.  The big upside appears limited.

CJ2K will carry this team on his back if he needs to.

Kendall Wright emerged as the #1 WR today, it will switch every week.

Titans D/ST is no joke.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS

Chad Henne needs Justin Blackmon back.

Cecil Shorts owners are happy to see Henne.

MJD could not get anything going on Sunday.  Do not panic.

Jacksonville Defense held in the Redzone. Nicest thing I could say.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

Andrew Luck had a quiet 321 Yards.

Ahmad Bradshaw got enough carries inside the goal line to finally fall across.

Reggie Wayne could not get his yards.

T.Y. Hilton stepped it up with a few bombs, no TDs.

Coby Fleener was happy to see Dwayne Allen not playing.

Colts D/ST was not so hot.

AFC WEST

OAKLAND RAIDERS

Terrelle Pryor is an exciting QB.  The Passing numbers are not there. Yet.

Run DMC took over the game, just forgot to get the TD.

Denarius Moore did not even see a target, Streater only had 42 Yards.

Oakland D/ST looked good against the Jags.

DENVER BRONCOS

Peyton Manning looked human again.

Montee Ball fumbled away his chance to steal the job on the first possession inside the 5. Easy TD was there.

Knowshon Moreno took advantage and looked great on his 2 TD runs.

Montee is down, but not out. Long season and he still got plenty of action (as much as Knowshon) after the fumble.

Asking Price in 12 team leagues is Julius Thomas straight up.

Ronnie Hillman is done.

DeMariyus Thomas never got his deep pass.

Wes ‘Sky’ Welker was saved by his TD.

Eric Decker took his time to be the #1 option, 87 Yards.

Julius Thomas is quickly turning into a BEAST.  BEAST DOME preseason favorite.

DENVER D/ST killed Eli.

SAN DIEGO CHARGERS

Philip Rivers dominated the Eagles Secondary.

Ryan Mathews is looking like a candidate for 1200 Yards.

Eddie Royal was a machine, with Malcolm Floyd out.  Eddie Royal is #3 Fantasy WR quality.

Antonio Gates looked Vintage to say the least. Fumbled away a TD.

SD D/ST looked horrible.  Anyone will against Philly.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

Alex Smith is the not a fantasy QB.

Jamaal Charles did all he can against a good Dallas Front 7.

Dwayne Bowe got his TD, do not sell HIGH.  This is not high enough.

Chiefs D/ST shutdown Tony Romo who looked horrible.

NFC WEST

SAN FRANCISCO 49ers

Colin Kaepernick had nothing on the Seahawks Defense.  No surprise as I ranked him #19.

Frank Gore is a good Buy Low. You will not get better value than this.

Anquan Boldin was locked up against that Seattle secondary.

Vernon Davis was not a threat.

49ers D/ST did not show up to play in that environment.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Tough to judge Russell Wilson after tonight.  I ranked him #23 for a reason.

Marshawn Lynch went BEAST MODE.

All WRs are on silent mode.

SEA D/ST showed why they are going to win the Superbowl.

ST. LOUIS RAMS

Sam Bradford was in comeback mode all game.

D-Rich is looking weaker by the weak, was never a big fan, still only thing they have.

Tavon Austin was a breakout star, young Percy Harvin.

Falcons shut down Jared Cook while allowing everyone else to perform.

STL D/ST not a friendly matchup on Sunday.

ARIZONA CARDINALS

Carson Palmer showed a side the Raiders were very familiar with.

Rashard Mendenhall is looking better than ever this season.

Larry Fitzgerald not 100% killed his owners.  Injuries make a player 50/50.

ARI D/ST gave up too many big pass plays.  Fluke 72 yard TD to Megatron helped when Peterson did not react.

NFC SOUTH

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

Drew Brees could not fly in this TB defense. Ranking of #9 did justice.

Pierre Thomas and Darren Sproles are moving away from Ingram.

Ingram did however get goal line carry.

This WR core is too deep.  Colston is at best a #2, Lance Moore #4.  Better matchup may help.

Jimmy Graham is a BEAST.

SAINTS D/ST is slowly moving me to believer.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

Josh Freeman had a 80 Yard TD to Vincent Jackson called back. Besides that he looked shaky.

Doug Martin could not find the endzone, but did find a HUGE fantasy day.

Vincent would of been a Monster if that long TD stood.

Mike Williams needs to get down field more.

TB D/ST BEAST DOME preseason favorite.

ATLANTA FALCONS

Matt Ryan aired it out when Steven Jackson left the game early.

Steven Jackson’s injury should not be multi-weeks.  RBBC if he misses game.

Julio Jones was a MONSTER, injuries during the week always make players dicey.

Roddy White played decoy one more time.

ATL D/ST is a good unit with lots of turnover potential.

CAROLINA PANTHERS

Super Cam looks shaky at the QB position.

DeAnglo Williams looked nice, the TD would have been better.

Steve Smith was missed on deep balls all day.

Greg Olsen had a monster day with Smith disappointing.

CAR D/ST had a rough Sunday.

NFC NORTH

CHICAGO BEARS

Jay Cutler looking good in contract year.

Matt Forte looks very healthy so far.

Brandon Marshall is a MONSTER.

Martellus Bennett stole the show.

BEARS D/ST has good Defensive TD potential.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS

Christian Ponder is not the answer.

Adrian Peterson is a BEAST carrying this team on his back.

Greg Jennings did better than expected, still WR#3 at very best.

Kyle Rudolph made sure to help his owners with the TD.

MIN D/ST looked bad on the road.

GREEN BAY PACKERS

Aaron Rodgers was legendary.

James Starks who was a BEAST DOME favorite last season. Is going to be again this season.

Eddie Lacy concussion, just hope he comes back when healthy.

Randall Cobb is the better version of Percy Harvin.

Jordy Nelson is a monster.

James Jones stole the show.

JerMichael Finley is finally living to the hype.

GB D/ST still has it’s holes. Comeback mode inflated Redskins.

DETROIT LIONS

Matt Stafford had a gift 72 Yard TD that saved his day.

Reggie Bush left the game briefly with a leg injury. Reason why he was on the Sell High list.

Megatron is a BEAST.

No other Lions WR is of WR #4 Quality.

Lions D/ST looks improved from last year, so far.

NFC EAST

DALLAS COWBOYS

Tony Romo looked horrible in this start.  No confidence.

DeMarco Murray could not do anything with Romo looking this bad.

Dez Bryant did his vintage, ‘Forgot to get numbers in the 2nd half act.’

Miles Austin was forgotten by Romo.

Jason Witten was too slow for this defense.

DAL D/ST is fierce.

WASHINGTON REDSKINS

RG3 got his numbers in garbage time.

Alfred Morris has to cut down on the fumbles. Helu not a factor this week.

Pierre Garcon got his numbers in garbage time.

Fred Davis is outside of the Top 15 TEs. You can waive him in 10 man leagues.

Washington D/ST has holes.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

Michael Vick is lethal in this offense.

LeSean McCoy is the new and improved Marshall Faulk.

Desean Jackson is a BEAST. BEAST DOME PRESEASON FAVORITE.

Brent Celek took a backseat and is no longer a safe option.

PHI D/ST has holes.

NEW YORK GIANTS

Eli Manning was too predictable.

David Wilson is counting down the days until Andre Brown steals his job.

Brandon Jacobs moves to RB #4 quality.

Victor Cruz is a BEAST.

Hakeem Nicks dislocated his finger early, threw off his game.

Brandon Myers fell on his way to a wide open TD.

NYG D/ST hard to judge against Peyton.

  1. MJD for Knowshon?
RB’s – Shady, Forte, Bush, Mendenhall, Ben Tate, Joique, Knowshon
    WR’s – LeSean, Cobb, T.Y., Josh Gordon
    TE – Antonio Gates, Fleener
    QB – Stafford
    DE – by committee
    K – Akers

  2. i think i can convince other owner to give me mjd for sproles straight up (he has ray rice and mjd as RB1/2 and his bench are RB4s at best).

but if not current offer right now is i get peyton and rice[or mjd] for newton, ridley, and sproles.

    thoughts?

  3. If you have Pierce, Ray Rice has the big name to be more tradeable later vs MJD… I’d love to have Peyton Manning, but losing another RB in Ridley is a huge no no

  4. i’m in need of a RB in my league and have Owen Daniels to offer as a trade.

i know it’ll depend on person and situation, but what RB would be considered a fair trade for Owen Daniels?

  5. Trade Bradshaw to get Victor Cruz straight up? I’d be thin at RB though… have Shady, Sjax, and Montee. Cruz would bolster my WRs of Nelson, Gordon, Lance, Blackmon. Have Gronk. Thinking of moving Gordon to flex in Montee doesn’t turn things around.

  6. Hard not to take that trade, unless you literally have no RB after montee. With Cruz a clear beast and Bradshaw’s injury history I’d still probably pull the trigger, I along with munt still believe in montee as the season progresses.

  7. There’s probably only a team or two that needs a TE bad enough to want Owen so check out their RB and see what you can do, maybe try packaging him also. I’m in the same boat with Finley when Gronk returns

  8. Very tempting but that RB depth is key… I’d try throwing in another decent WR or TE for MJD as well

  9. Thoughts about wait & see if Josh Gordon develops? My thinking is I could deprive the other owner to drive a harder bargain because his only RBs are David Wilson and MJD, both of with really are giving him low points so far.

  10. I have the Orange Julius/Gronk tandem too. I’d jump at the chance to get get Boldin (buy low)for OJ. Last night’s disastrous matchup vs Seahawks secondary was the exception. My team needs are RB instead of WR however. And Im about to trade OJ for Ridley (buy low)…in comparison.

  11. Can anybody read Munt’s haiku tealeaves above and guess who his D/ST ROULETTE team is for Week 3? Im guessing Saints vs Cardinals or Bills at Jets.

  12. Tampa Bay at NE isn’t a bad play considering the state of affairs in NE and how well the Bucs were able to contain Brees yesterday. The match up vs the Saints was the big test for me. I’d be comfortable starting them weekly from here on out. 10 points the first week and 15 points in Week 2 against a MUCH stronger offense.

  13. Who wins?

    A. Bradshaw Julius Thomas and Josh Gordon OR Miles Austin
    B. Ryan Matthews Danny Amendola

Team trading Thomas has Gronk. Team trading Dola has no rb depth (still wont I guess) but does have Jackson Boldin.

Or is this a pretty even trade either way?

  14. I’d give an edge to A if you’re thinking regular season help, but to B if you’re gearing up for the playoffs.

  15. Way to early to jump ship, you can’t get value for him now anyways, and I definitely wouldn’t drop him. I know knowshon had a good game, but Montee could have easily scored a td if not for the fumble or if he had either of those plays knowshon scored on. Not to mention knowshon is as injury prone as they come
