HYDE AND GO BEAST (VOL. II)

BEAST REPORT (WEEK 1 – 2)

By Muntradamus

Each week of the season I will analyze how I did in the FantasyPros expert field, as well as the Daily Fantasy Football field.  Since it is Week 1, and I did not give a chance to really recap my BUSTS of the season.  Below we will analyze how my Preseason Rankings are shaping up after Week 1 of the season.

FANTASYPROS Top 16 RB

(REGULAR SEASON)

Expert RB Rankings

MUNTRADAMUS RB BUST LIST

(REGULAR SEASON)

Charles

As you can see I am the lowest on Jamaal Charles.  Zac Stacy.  Giovani Bernard.  Andre Ellington. Toby Gerhart.  I also finished below the pack on Frank Gore.  More on that below.

JAMAAL CHARLES BUST

For all of the Fantasy sites that were promoting names like Toby Gerhart were truly trying to sway you in the wrong direction.  There are fantasy Sites that actually proclaimed Toby Gerhart as a Top 10 RB.

TOBY I DON’T THINK WE’RE IN STANFORD ANYMORE

When you look at my BEAST list below.

MuntraRank

No Fantasy Football site has Arian Foster. Montee Ball. and Marshawn Lynch ranked Higher than BEAST DOME.  When it is all said and done, what group of RBs would you rather own moving forward?

FANTASYPROS EXPERT CONSENSUS

GORE vs. HYDE

HIGHEST RANK. LOWEST RANK

Gore

Hyde3

 MUNTRADAMUS HYDE VS. GORE

HYDE AND GO BEAST

Hydevsgore2

As you can see I am the EXPERT who is lowest on Frank Gore, and the highest on Carlos Hyde.  Good season to be on TEAM HYDE AND GO BEAST.

Safe to say the BEAST VIPs and everyone who read my articles this preseason are heading in the right direction going into 2014.

WEEK 1 BEAST AT WR

STEVE SMITH SR. – BAL – WR

MUNTRADAMUS RANKING#27

FANTASYPROS ECR RANKING#52

7/118/1 TD

No Fantasy Expert was higher on Steve Smith than me coming into the 2014 season.  No expert was higher on Steve Smith coming into Week 1.  Steve Smith is the guy for a Ravens offense that will be throwing often now that Ray Rice is gone.  Still, Fantasy Sites are hating on Steve Smith because they want to believe they are right about Torrey Smith.  Keep on hating Rotoworld, even with 15 targets.

roto

JEREMY MACLIN – PHI – WR

MUNTRADAMUS RANKING#10

FANTASYPROS ECR RANKING #26

4/97/1 TD

I was surprised to see so many fantasy sites anti Jeremy Maclin this season.  This guy is a flat out BEAST and the Eagles need him more than ever this year.

GOLDEN TATE – DET – WR

MUNTRADAMUS RANKING #11

FANTASYPROS ECR RANKING#33

6/93

Golden Tate is going to be a BEAST when defenses double-team Megatron.  They will double team him often and I am looking to ride the Golden Tate hand all season long.  Too bad he did not end up on TEAM BEAST DOME, I am still looking for him to have a HUGE season.

WEEK 1 BUST AT WR

KENNY BRITT – STL – WR

MUNTRADAMUS RANKING #19

ECR RANKING #31

0/0

Shaun Hill was injured.  Hill made Kenny Britt the exciting option he was with his, “Go up and get it” jump ball passes.  Once Hill was out in the 1st Half, Kenny Britt was done turning into the BUST of the week.

JARRETT BOYKIN – GB – WR

MUNTRADAMUS RANKING #31

ECR RANKING #51

0/0

Who would of thought that Jarrett Boykin would be face guarded by Richard Sherman all game.  To be on the cover of Madden and then face guard Boykin only because he is on the right side of the field is a joke.  Better days will come for Boykin who did not see a target all night.

DAILY FANTASY FOOTBALL WEEK 1

THIS WAS BEFORE MNF where he still had Golden Tate and Lions DST remaining.  The VIP client dominated all leagues.  He can work on my name spelling another time.  As long as he keeps BEASTING.

great job as usual, what so you think about Zach Ertz, is he going to have a beast season ??

Stick it to em Munt. It’s just Week 1. Two months from now it will be even more evident how much the BEASTDOME picks have dominated.

I must apologize as I admittedly talked “MAD SHIT!”
I checked out your website After seeing your name on Fantasy pros and though, “this guy is a toolbag”, nobody thinks these guys will produce! Well you hit on all of them, and I am sold!!!!! I want to purchase the VIP, but it seems it only ran trough the 5th of September. Is there a 25buck VIP?

  • Golfnut September 10, 2014   Reply →

So when is RG III going to break out? Week one was a disaster! I picked him up in all leagues based on your preseason ranks….

    • JJ September 10, 2014   Reply →

Golfnut, You obviously did not pay Munt a cent or you would have seen that he suggested starting several other guys ahead of RG3 due to the matchup. But you got what you deserved for trying to free ride. Good Luck….

      • RxMang September 10, 2014   Reply →

I did pay Munt for VIP this preseason and did not see anything written about not starting RG3 vs Houston, unfortunately. Munt has helped me dominate in seasons past, so I’m not concerned. However, I would really like to see some weekly rankings posted somewhere. Did I miss a memo somewhere regarding weekly rankings?

        • Muntradamus September 10, 2014   Reply →

BEASTcast. BEASTcast. Got to attend the BEASTcasts.

As you stated. Do not be concerned with RGIII that Texans Defense is going to make a lot of QBs look horrible this year with that pass rush. Even with no Clowney.

Weekly Rankings will be seen by only myself this season. They will be posted minutes before the FantasyPros Deadline, and that is it. Once they are published you can view them on FantasyPros probably 30 Minutes after kickoff (system to load them, and all final second rankings coming at once from different sites).

In-Season VIP Packages will be released soon. If you want to win Weekly Fantasy Advice, win a BEAST FRANCHISE tournament. Free to enter.

Ah – makes sense. Thanks for the quick reply. When is the next BeastCast?

Dunno if you want to answer this one publicly or not, but my big question this week: Matt Ryan or RG3?

  • Snowman September 10, 2014   Reply →

    Munt,

Would you trade Welker to get Hyde??

  • ctdog September 10, 2014   Reply →

got hyde and feel great about getting him but I had to drop Golden tate to do it.
Should I drop Boykin to get Tate back(already have J.Nelson)

    • C Spit September 10, 2014   Reply →

Why would u drop Tate, who had 6 catches for 90 yards and almost got a TD instead of Boykins?

      • ctdog September 10, 2014   Reply →

Well Nelson and Cobb do get hurt and their schedule is pretty sweet. Tate didnt get a single catch until the second quarter and he caught his big gainer on a leap and landed on his back(hardly almost a TD) Not saying he isnt good or great even but on that team there is so many mouths to feed and he will almost never get a red zone look with Calvin and those TE’s. look i dont feel great about the drop which is why I asked the question. we have very tight rosters in our league and if I have a guy getting 6-70,80,90 on my team I would never feel great about starting him and I would get zero for him in a trade.
So with all that nonsense I just spewed out…Boykin or Tate ROS?

        • C Spit September 10, 2014   Reply →

Dude you gotta pick Tate back up, if he’s still there. I’ma Detroit fan, trust me he will get targets every week, and TDs will come after teams start double and triple teaming Megatron. Detroit throws on average 40 times a game. Those TEs are slow, aside from Ebron. And Tate almost scored in the 3rd or 4th, but was tackled inside the 10. . Boykin was ranked lower by Munt if I’m not mistaken. I’d just keep an eye on him. But now Tate has the potential to be a 1000 yard WR in this offense.

          • ctdog September 10, 2014

Yep feeling’s have changed! putting in a bid for tonights waiver run!
The more I typed the more I wanted to kick my self in the arse!!!

            cheers!

    Hi,

Drop Packers Rodgers for Colts Allen?

  • PJ September 10, 2014   Reply →

Stuck between starting 2 out of the 3 (Decker, Steve Smith, and Torrey Smith). Right now I have both the Smith’s in. Good call?

  • nostraballus September 10, 2014   Reply →

    What TE should I add 12 team PPR, H.Miller, D.Allen, T.Kelce or J.Gresham?

  • Modes September 10, 2014   Reply →

Benching Bush vs Panthers this week. FLEXING Boykin. FLEXING! This is the week Rodgers reminds the world he’s a stud and the “experts” will suggest Boykin the hawt, hawt, hawt waiver pickup next week. Goin with the gut.

  • Justin September 10, 2014   Reply →

    RGIII/McCown
    Foster/Martin/Ridley/Greene
    Fitz/Maclin/Ter Williams/Nicks/John Jones
    Reed/Cook
    Forbath
    Houston

Should I consider dropping a TE to pick up Gresham? RB is questionable for me with Martin now nursing a “minor” injury. Should I be looking for someone else and maybe dropping a WR or Ridley? Thanks in advance

I’ll pipe in on a few of the above…

@snowman – I’d trade Welker for Hyde (Welker could put up numbers ‘when’ he comes back, but Hyde’s ability to outshine Gore every week will dictate he gets his due soon enough. The media and fans will start clamouring for it too.

@studPL – Allen over Rodgers. Bostick is looking like he’s back this week and it seemed like Quarless was getting more looks than Rodgers. Once Indy lets Luck off of the leash, Allen will put up consistent TE1 numbers.

@PJ – I think Ravens try to get the run game going against a leaky Steelers (180+ yds last week). I’d pick a Smith (gut tells me Torrey) and Decker. Steve Smith won’t repeat last week’s performance, and were it not for the 77yd TD, he’s have 30something yards on 14 targets…ouch.

My own question for y’all is whether to flex Forsett tonight or to play Hyde against the Bears. I think Baltimore at home with all of this nonsense going on will be fired up to establish the run and then go deep to Torrey a couple of times. I smell shootout, but at the same time I wouldn’t be at all surprised if neither team breaks 20 points as they have defensive reps and some deep respectful hatred for one another. The Bears are a perfect opportunity for Hyde, but he still has to share touches. I think Forsett has the higher floor, with Hyde having the higher ceiling. Thoughts are welcomed/encouraged.
