UPDATED: WEEK 10 RANKINGS W/ ANALYSIS

BUSTS: SUPERSTAR EDITION

CAM NEWTON – QB – CAR

MUNTRADAMUS QB RANK: #17
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #7

The Broncos have one of the best pass defenses in the NFL. Which is not good because Cam has been anything but a sure-fire QB with his passing numbers.  200 Yards against the Redskins last week may have been their best pass defense performance of the season.

If Cam rushes his way to a 80 Yards/2 TD game, he has a chance to save his fantasy owners.  Last Sunday he was far from impressive despite his nice 20+ Point total.

MICHAEL VICK – QB – PHI

MUNTRADAMUS QB RANK: #18
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #13

Barking at this Trick like you’re Michael Vick.

His offensive line is terrible.  I feel bad for Vick every time he drops back and immediately is about to get sandwiched between two defenders.

Not a great matchup with Demarcus Ware, and this is a situation to avoid.  Cowboys have a very good defense.

FRANK GORE – RB – SF

MUNTRADAMUS RB RANK: #16
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #9

The Rams run defense is great. Kendall Hunter is a threat to take 8 Carries. Teams usually beat the Rams with the pass.

When you add that all up together, it equals a bad game.  There are definitely worst options than Frank, but I would not start him over another good RB like Willis McGahee.

LESEAN MCCOY – RB – PHI

MUNTRADAMUS RB RANK: #12
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK:  #6

Have you seen the Eagles blocking lately?  A college football team could probably cause pressure against Vick these days.

The Cowboys are not bad at defending the run, and they will be ready for LeSean McCoy who is having less than an ELITE season.  The Eagles appear to be a sinking ship, look for that trend to continue.

That’s why they call him Slim Shady.

ANDRE JOHNSON – WR – HOU

MUNTRADAMUS WR RANK: #19
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK:  #15

The weather is not going to be nice in Chicago on Sunday Night.  Which already adds to the many disadvantages facing Andre Johnson going into Week 10.  Charles Tillman may be the best corner in the NFL right now, Andre has not been doing well against good CBs as of late.

Look for a lot of running by Houston on Sunday Night.

MARQUES COLSTON – WR – NO

MUNTRADAMUS WR RANK: #17
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #11

WR position is getting deep this season, so deep that the #1 WR for Marques Colston is not a top 10 option with your eyes closed.

The Saints are using Jimmy Graham like their #1 option as of late, which could be a common trend once again as the Falcons do have quality corners.

Start Colston if you have him, but don’t bench another superstar quality player just because you feel obligated to play Marques.

OWEN DANIELS – TE – HOU

MUNTRADAMUS TE RANK: #20
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK:  #9

When Jimmy Graham was a game-time decision Sunday Night against the Broncos, I encourage everyone to start him and left him at his original #3 Ranking all week.  This week, I am giving the boot to Owen Daniels as he did not practice and coach Kubiak is already talking about Garrett Graham ready for a full slate of snaps.

I would not start Owen.

LAWRENCE TYNES – K – NYG

MUNTRADAMUS K RANK: #13
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK:  #3

Who has the worst kicking leg in the NFL as far as distance goes?

Maybe Lawrence Tynes who leaves 49 Yard FGs about 5 Yards short consistently.  Eli Manning is not going to be able to get his team in the Redzone enough to make Tynes an automatic 3 FGs.  Unless of course Eli continues to struggle which is a possibility.

DOLPHINS – D/ST – MIA

MUNTRADAMUS D/ST RANK: # 14
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: # 6

Someone tell me why the Titans/Dolphins game gives any team an edge.  This is going to be a sloppy game of defenses that are very vulnerable.  Just because the Dolphins can slow down the Jets one week does not mean they are a team that can stop a good offensive team like Tennessee the next.
