BUSTS

*All Rankings Will Be Finalized Saturday Night in the Updated Rankings above.

CARSON PALMER – QB – OAK

MUNTRADAMUS QB RANK: #23
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #16

While it was nice to see “Irish Car Palm” throw those consecutive 300+ Yard performances.  They were against some good matchups where all he had to do was throw since the defense was getting lit up.

Now playing a tough Browns defense that knows how to get turnovers, and they know how to get pressure on the QB.  I would avoid this matchup at all costs.  Joe Haden is going to shut down Moore, which always creates problems for Palmer.

VICK BALLARD – RB – IND

MUNTRADAMUS RB RANK: #42
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #33

Vick did bad enough last week to the point where Donald Brown saw just about the same amount of carries.

Before Brown went down, he was dominating Ballard and people were hesitant to even add Vick in the first place.  Vick took over the role while Brown was injured, then Brown came back against the Dolphins to put up a nice game of his own.  Then Brown re-injured himself and Ballard has not done enough to win the job outright.

This is a classic RBBC.

DARREN SPROLES – RB – NO

MUNTRADAMUS RB RANK: #34
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #21

47 Yards.

That is all Sproles had on a terrible Thursday Night game.  Darren did have a TD called back which did help save this ranking, but his consistency moving forward is always a little shaky since you do not know who is going to be primary RB for the Saints that game.  Regardless, he is a great PPR option and played more than I expected.

LARRY FITZGERALD – WR – ARI

MUNTRADAMUS WR RANK: #50
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #27

No matter who you are as a WR.  You need a QB who can get you the ball.

Ryan Lindley is not that QB, and Antonio Cromartie is the perfect matchup for a Larry Fitzgerald type WR.  Antonio has shut down WRs from Reggie Wayne to Andre Johnson, and there is no reason he cannot slow down Larry Fitzgerald who does not have a QB you can depend on.

DENARIUS MOORE – WR – OAK

MUNTRADAMUS WR RANK: #51
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #24

One name. Joe Haden.

Joe has shut down the best of the best WRs consistently.  Carson Palmer has a tough matchup ahead and will likely not have the time he needs to get Moore on some open deep routes.  Haden is coming off of a game where he just shut down Mike Wallace.  He can easily continue the streak.

OWEN DANIELS – TE – HOU

MUNTRADAMUS TE RANK: #15
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #5

A pick that could haunt me.

The Texans have James Casey and Garrett Graham who are possible targets to steal all of Owen Daniels’ production.  Owen would have been a bust last week if it was not for a redzone TD.  Graham and Casey were both equally involved making times a little unpredictable for Owen looking ahead.

MATT BRYANT – K – ATL

MUNTRADAMUS K RANK: #19
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #2

There are times where I am right, and there are times where I am flat out wrong.

Matt Ryan vs. Drew Brees sounds like a shootout, a game where FGs do not mean a thing as TD for TD will be the only way to settle the score.  Well the 5 Extra Points I assumed for Bryant, turned into 3 FGs including one of 55 Yards. Still have time to make up the ground.

GIANTS – D/ST – NYG

MUNTRADAMUS D/ST RANK: #21
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #17

RGIII has a matchup he does not like.

The Giants have a fierce D-Line of superstars all-around.  While RGIII has proved to be unstoppable, this is maybe a game where he can finally get contained.  Still, we have not seen a defense completely contain RGIII and he is only getting better.  On top of that he now has a healthy Pierre Garcon, I would bench the Giants.

  1. Plus a tropical storm in coming in for the OAK vs CLE game, I’m sure that boost the CLE D even more and downgrades any passing game.

  2. Need to start 1 at RB and 1 at FLEX for week13:

RB: Marcel Reece or Knowshon Moreno
FLEX: Marcel Reece, Knowshon Moreno, Danario Alexander

    obviously must-win game!

  3. Hey Munt .. Good call on Palmer, but i think you need to redo kicker ranking also. There’s a storm coming on Sunday for the OAK vrs Brown game. Both D and RB are good play but hand off on WR/QB/K.

  4. Not often do I go against muntra the stunta, but I rolled with Bryant, luckily as he offset jimmy Graham’s quiet day. 5 ints no tds, drew broke some hearts this week.

  5. I personally don’t trust beanie, especially in New York where Lindley will have multiple ints.

  6. All three are pretty solid plays, Reece looks like he will get many touches again. I might lean towards benching DNX out of those three due to the simple fact that rivers is throwing to him, but it’s close

  7. I would have reece in there, That game is gunna be played on the ground. Im on the coast near oak and the weather is savage.

I have a must win too.

beanie, cecil shorts or broyles in the flex? any thoughts?

I have decker and vjack as my wr’s with jennings riding the pine

  8. Since Percy isn’t playing who would u rather play. Fitzgerald or denarius Moore? (i also have Bowe. My team is on thin ice had DMC, Murray, wells, & now butler & McCarthy is hurt

  9. Thats tough. Is edelman or broyles availible in your league? If so pick up one of those guys and start them.
