*All Rankings Will Be Finalized Saturday Night in the Updated Rankings above.

MATT STAFFORD – QB – DET

MUNTRADAMUS QB RANK: #19
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #10

Matty Ice.

Too bad that’s not the QB you have in your lineup this week as you are stuck with the Circus Leader Matt Stafford and his one man Calvin Johnson show.  The Falcons defense proved a point last week against the Giants, they have proved a point all season.  While Stafford finds a way to turn it on at home more often than not, he also has a way of letting you down.  More often than not.

COLIN KAEPERNICK – QB – SF

MUNTRADAMUS QB RANK: #22
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #13

Richard Sherman’s destiny will be known Friday.  Regardless, the Seahawks defense at home is a unit you do not want to go up against.  They held Aaron Rodgers to a pedestrian game on Monday Night in that building, no reason to think Kaepernick will be that much more effective Sunday Night.

MATT FORTE – RB – CHI

MUNTRADAMUS RB RANK: #24
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #11

Arizona has a big man in Darnell Dockett who can ear 3 offensive linemen and tackle a RB at the same time.  They also have athletic Linebackers that are on a similar wave length to the guys in SF.

Forte and that Bears offensive line is in for a wild ride.  Good luck trusting him in the championship.

JAMAAL CHARLES – RB – KC

MUNTRADAMUS RB RANK: #26
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #9

Never a surprise these days to see Jamaal Charles on the BUST list.  More often than not, he does end up busting that week.

This week I am going to call his bluff again against a very underrated Colts run D.  If Jamaal has trouble against a bad Oakland squad last week, how does playing against Andrew Luck make him any safer?

Thanks Jamaal for this historic season carrying a football team on your back, that has really gone unnoticed.

DEMARYIUS THOMAS – WR – DEN

MUNTRADAMUS WR RANK: #26
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #6

Some of you will not have the kahunas to pull off this move.

But all of you should as Joe Haden is no joke.  He can shut down any WR in this league, and Peyton has plenty of other options where he can win a ball game if it means eliminating his favorite WR.  The choice is yours, mine would be to pass on the superstar if I had someone ranked higher.

VINCENT JACKSON – WR – TB

MUNTRADAMUS WR RANK: #27
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #11

The Bucs will look to rebound against the Rams, and although Vincent Jackson does have a size matchup against the fiesty Cortland Finnegan.  It is simply a tough matchup where Vincent Jackson will be able to get the separation he wants.

There are better options this week if you need one.

KYLE RUDOLPH – TE – MIN

MUNTRADAMUS TE RANK: #19
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #12

Would you trust Christian Ponder in a dire situation like this one.

The answer is no, and that means you cannot trust Kyle Rudolph in a similar situation.

JASON HANSON – K – DET

MUNTRADAMUS K RANK: #20
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #10

Last week Hanson was my #1, this week he is my #20.

If there was a chance for Matt Stafford to BUST in a championship game, playing against the Falcons will likely be a big reason behind it.  The Lions are about to get hunted by the Falcons in this one, which means Hanson can be out of the game before it begins.

REDSKINS – D/ST – WAS

MUNTRADAMUS D/ST RANK: #23
EXPERT CONSENSUS RANK: #16

Tell me this.

Why do people think a defense that has given up 300 Yards to just about any QB who walks into their home building, will now be able to stop an Eagles team that is still fighting strong to close out the Andy Reid term in the best way possible.  Including a potential/likely return of Shady McCoy himself.

Too much risk to consider this unit in any league.

  1. I disagree with u on Stafford. If u look at all his games this season he is up and down every week like clockwork, good game bad game good game bad game. I would start him with confidence this week.

  2. Playing an inconsistent QB versus a VERY underrated defense has bust written all over it. Don’t get me wrong Stafford can be a beast but I feel Atlanta will go up quick and Stafford will be forced to throw……. a lot of interceptions. That is where Joique Bell comes into play. I have a hunch that Bell and maybe even Kevin Smith will have big games. Atlanta is in the hunt for the trophy where as Detroit is not. I don’t necessarily think Stafford will be a bust but a modest 15 points is in his sights. And to me 15 points from a top 5 QB on a fantasy championship weekend is a bust.

  3. PICK up Amendola! He has a GREAT matchup! Who can you drop for Danny? And yes I would start Cobb over Thomas. I think Cobb finds the pay dirt this weekend.

  4. Calvin is also trying to break Jerry RIce’s record so I think Stafford is going to try and force the ball way too much to him.

  5. Seattle d or Indy d. Also in ppr I need three Jolio jones. Mike Williams. Pierre garçon. Danny amadola and Ty Hilton?

  6. Ya if you look at all those games (up and down games), he had at least 2 WRs.

Kris Durham is hardly a #2 WR. Brandon Pettigrew may or may not play, not 100%.

Calvin Johnson will get his numbers, but his numbers alone does not support a QB you want to start in a championship game.

Plus. Why would you want to start an up and down QB in the most crucial situation?

  7. DST: 49ers, Chargers, Dolphins or Colts?

FLEX in PPR: Shonn Greene, Torrey Smith (concussion), Jeremy Maclin, or Rob Gronkowski.

I’m leaning towards the Colts and Maclin. 49ers in Seattle scare me. Maclin didn’t have any production the last time they met, but they’re home this time and Foles has settled in a bit. Gronk is tempting if he actually plays, but I’m not betting on it.

On a side note, I’m in the championship thanks to Munt and the advice given on here. You guys rock.

  8. I could drop gronk, moreno, greg jennings, or steelers d/st..pretty easy choice I have seahawks D starting would drop steelers defense..but I would still start Cobb over Amendola

  9. wow I have D Thomas and Forte… I will bench forte for mcfadden but you’re right I don’t have the kahunas to bench DT lol. I have nicks, m williams or d alexander to start over him and b lloyd available.

  10. Uh, dude? You’re a big reason I’ve gotten this far, but now three of my starting players are on your bust list: Thomas, Jackson, and Hanson.

This scares the crap out of me.

So now you think I throw in Ridley, Blackmon, and Hartley instead?

    Help!

  11. Rankings Come out Tonight to answer all of your questions.

    As far as guarding Megatron.

Robinson and Samuel should switch off, but Stafford throws enough attempts in the game to make both players startable if you need a CB.

  12. There is no more need to keep gronk and jennings. they are done.
Amendola is a much safer play than Cobb or Thomas. He actually is just a better play overall–favorite target, worst passing D, TB can put up points which would require STL to throw…

  13. I’m in the same boat for DST. I’m going to wait and see 1) If Sherman plays for SEA 2) If Stanzi gets the start for KC.
If Sherman doesn’t play or Stanzi does, the decision becomes very easy IMO.

Jones, Amendola for sure. the other 3 are a toss up. RG3 is back and doesn’t look to Garcon as much, so I would go with which team do you think will have to throw the most?

  14. Justin Smith might be out for SF, that should sway you the rest of the way from them.
The Dolphins could get burned by Spiller/Johnson, Colts by Charles(lol! no really…), Who on the Jets can burn SD???

Flex: Yikes, how’s the waiver wire lookin? I like Maclin.

  15. So my only real replacement for Jamaal Charles at flex is Pierre Garcon, who I can only assume is ranked so low with RG3 back because of Nnamdi. Which do you think would be a better play?
