FANTASY FOOTBALL BEAST OR BUST

BIG PACKAGE. SMALLWOOD (WEEK 4)

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

Week 2 the Sheep told you take Kerwynn The Frog Williams. I said look for the vet in CJ2K who is now the lead RB for Arizona. Kerwynn on every Waiver Wire you can imagine.

Week 3 the Sheep asked you to Perine their Valentine. I said to go after Chris Thompson who follows that up with a Top 5 Fantasy RB day. Perine on every Waiver Wire you can imagine.

After winning the #1 FantasyPros Expert in Week 2, and a Seat in the DraftKings Championship in Week 3.

It is Week 4, Time for an Encore.

Darren Sproles is no longer with us in Fantasy Football History due to a broken arm and a torn ACL on the same play. Which means Wendell Smallwood will step right into the role of the Eagles RB when they are trailing or in passing situations. Wendell Smallwood was never that great of a player as a rookie, but he does look better than he has in the past with his ability to break tackles and his speed is definitely relevant. The Eagles offense feels more comfortable when Carson Wentz is calling the shots and moving around in the pocket. Wendell’s size and speed against linebackers could cause great matchups which will end up with solid total yard performances. The touches on the ground will not be that consistent as LeGarrette Blount is a far better pure RB. However when the Eagles are not winning the Football game, LeGarrette will be on the sideline while Wendell is in the game.

LeGarrette is the better of the two to own just because there will be games where Blount gets his 17+ Carries leaving Smallwood with little to work with.

He is no Chris Thompson, in fact, he is not even CJ2K. Still 10+ Touches with the potential of 80+ Yards should be there nearly every single game. If you cannot add Blount, Go add Wendell “Big Package” Smallwood.

  1. Hey Munt, what is your opinion on Marshawn Beatmode Lynch so far? I know that he’s one of your beasts! Do you expect the Raiders to start using him more?

    Thanks!

  2. I would ignore Week 3, the offense could not get a 1st down that will not happen often.
I would look at Week 2 with a grain of salt, huge blowout could have had a HUGE day.

Lynch will be fine, Raiders only had 1 balance game Week 1 and Lynch looked great, should have had a TD that game if they didn’t throw it on the goal line every play

    Keep faith in BEAST MODE

  3. Still feel confident with Lynch since Crabtree is out? Denver D also did a good job containing Elliott and Shady.
