IF you can Trade Pau Gasol for any of these Players. Now is the Time. Once Dwight comes back, Pau will be tough to own.

The Players suggested are ballpark around their value.

JEREMY LIN – PG – HOU

Linsanity has been streaky all year.  But he is starting to hit frustrating low in Minutes.  Back-to-Back games of less than 25 Minutes played.  That is the first time this has happened all year, and his scoring/assists numbers have not reached higher than 9 Points/3 Assists.

Now is the time to grab Linsanity quick before other owners throw offers.  When a player this good is doing this bad, he usually snaps out of it.  With the Rockets in dire need of Lin to be the 2nd fiddle to James Harden as far as penetrating the basket and creating opportunities for other.  Lin is too important.

Offer: Jeff Teague.

GORAN DRAGIC – PG – PHO

Goran is not playing like the player he was in Houston getting #1 Guard numbers of 19 Points and 12 Assists like it was just another day.  With the Suns, he has been inconsistent, and his inconsistency has brought him to the point where before last night, he was averaging only 4.2 Assists a game in the month of January.  Goran is too important to the Suns to not be a PG who sees 35+ Minutes a game and near double-doubles every night.  He is getting more and more comfortable with this Suns unit every night.  Almost to the point you would have never guessed he ever left Phoenix in the first place.

Offer: Jeff Teague.

RUDY GAY – SF – MEM

Week 11 I mentioned Rudy Gay as a Buy-Low player.  This week I will say it again.

His scoring numbers have dropped as he has yet to score more than 20 Points in back-to-back nights since December.  Which is horrible for a player who takes upwards of 20 Shots some nights.  Despite this, his rebounding numbers have reached 8/game over the last 5.  His Block/Steal numbers have reached over 2 Total sometimes around 4.  He brings a lot to the table, and enough intangibles to make any owner win a championship.  The asking price is way lower than it should be as he really has 2nd/3rd round Fantasy Value.

Offer: Danilo Gallinari.

ANDREI KIRLENKO – SF – MIN

No Kevin Love.  The T-Wolves are going to need Andrei Kirlenko to play 40+ Minutes and get crazy numbers.  Especially with Nikola Pekovic out, a player who also has trouble staying healthy.  Andrei can get 10 Blocks in a night when in NBA JAM Fire mode.  He can get 10+ Rebounds. He can get a handful of steals, and score near 20 Points.

He has not broke into that level yet, but soon you will be seeing this.

Offer: Danilo Gallinari

CHRIS BOSH – PF/C – MIA

CB.Bust is the name that goes with Chris Bosh these days.  A player that has no other big men to compete with on his team.  By far the 3rd Best scorer with players like Dwayne Wade, and Lebron James set him up for wide open jump shot, after wide open jump shot.

Has only scored 20 Points one time in the month of January.  He also only gathered 10+ Rebounds one time, which was last night.  I also featured him on the cover of the Rankings thinking he would blow up for more than 12/12 in OT against his former team.

Regardless, the time is now to grab Chris Bosh for cheap.  He is good enough where 20/10 should be added to his last name with blocks.  He once was a Fantasy Superstar this season where 3+ Blocks/10+ Rebounds/20+ Points came natural.  To now a player in a slump.  Trade for him while you can.

OFFER: Pau Gasol. David West.

PAUL PIERCE – SF – BOS

Ever since I put Paul Pierce on Blast with the prediction he would blow up against the Knicks. Daily Rankings: The Truth & Nothing But The Truth (23 Points/6 Assists/5 Fouls).

Pierce has only scored over 20 Points one time since.  Which is a span of 8 games.  He also has failed to score more than 13 Points in 6 of those 8 games.  As you can see, the trend is to Buy Paul Pierce now.  A player that does so many intangibles from the Forward position, he can win you a championship.

Steals/Assists/3PTM/FT%/Steals/Blocks/Rebounds.  He does enough in all of these categories to make a big dent in the Roto Standings.

OFFER: Danilo Gallinari.

MONTA ELLIS – SG – MIL

Monta has only scored over 20 Points twice this month.  In 4 of the last 5 games in December he scored above 20 Points.  He even reached 30 and 37 Points in two of those games.

Monta has BEAST potential with his steal/assists numbers to go along with that explosive scoring.  How does 10 assists and 5 steals to go along with 30 Points and 5 Rebounds sound to you?  Well that is the type of player you can get for half the price.

OFFER: Joe Johnson. Andre Iguodala. Klay Thompson.

METTA WORLD PEACE – SF – LAL

Time-after-Time, when the Lakers suffer an injury.  Metta is the player who steps up his game to pick up the scoring slack.  In two games earlier this month with no Dwight and Pau, Metta put back-to-back 20+ Point performances.  If Dwight is forced to miss any time, which is likely at this point.  Metta turns into a scoring machine, not to mentioned he averaged 3.5 3PTM/5.5 Steals in those two games there was no Dwight.  Those are not typos, he even grabbed 7 Rebounds/game during that span.

OFFER: Danilo Gallinari. Chandler Parsons.

  1. I was offered Monta and Amir Johnson for Pekovic and Mayo, then the guy canceled the proposal. He has Lowry so I’m thinking of offering Pekovic and Calderon for Monta and Johnson. Thoughts?

  2. That’s a good trade.

Monta is a clear upgrade to Calderon. While Pek is much better than Amir Johnson long-term, Pek just can’t stay healthy and getting a star like Monta Ellis for him now is worth the bite.
