CHAPTER 1 RECAP HAIKUS

TORONTO RAPTORS

Kyle Lowry is a Fantasy BEAST.
Jose Calderon is barely rosterable with Lowry healthy. He has to hope for a trade.
DeMar DeRozan needs to show consistency throughout the next month, but looks good.
Andrea Bargnani owners should not worry, he will explode more often than not.
Jonas Valanciunas is a low-end #2 Center in 12 team leagues. Starting to get hot if you need double-doubles.

BOSTON CELTICS

Rajon Rondo is ELITE.
Jason Terry is inconsistent, not someone you want to count on.
Paul Pierce is still getting his numbers.
Brandon Bass is good, but an inconsistent Fantasy Forward. Do better.
Kevin Garnett not exploding through the box scores, but still solid all-around.

PHILADELPHIA 76ers

Jrue Holiday is the team.
Jason Richardson gets his shot attempts.
Which hurts both Thaddeus Young and Evan Turner.
Young and Turner are both good but consistency is key.
Does not help with that deep bench of Nick Young and Dorrell Wright.
Andrew Bynum should be saved if you can stash him.

BROOKLYN NETS

Deron Williams has lost a small step.
Joe Johnson does not see enough touches to make him ELITE.
Gerald Wallace barely sees the ball at all and is a low-end option.
Kris Humphries has to do work on his own to get production.
Brook Lopez is the man on this team.

NEW YORK KNICKS

Jason Kidd is back to putting up his low-end numbers across the board.
Raymond Felton looks much better this season.
J.R. Smith is hot and cold, but his HOT can start a Fire.
Carmelo Anthony is a BEAST.
Tyson Chandler is getting closer to 100% solid #2 Center.
Steve Novak is turning into a 3PT specialist.
Amare Stoudemire should be stashed if you can stash him.

DETROIT PISTONS

Brandon Knight is slowly getting better.
Greg Monroe cannot seem to play well a full game, quarter by quarter dominance.
Tayshaun Prince usually cools down as the season continues.
Jason Maxiell and Andre Drummond cancel each other out as starting options.
Andre Drummond has great long-term potential.
Rodney Stuckey/Kyle Singler cancel each other completely.

CLEVELAND CAVALIERS

Dion Waiters is the guy to own while Kyrie is injured.
Alonzo Gee will get you Aminu type of numbers for the time being.
Andreson Varejao is putting up #1 Center quality numbers.
Tristan Thompson not scoring consistently enough.
Jeremy Pargo is good for low-end PG potential.

INDIANA PACERS

David West playing like his vintage All-Star self.
Paul George still has consistency issues, great player.
George Hill is stepping up his game this season, nice low-end option.
Roy Hibbert inconsistent but we all know he will come around.
Tyler Hansbrough should not be starting on anyone’s roster.
Lance Stephenson is an exciting guard to own. Good add in deep leagues now.

CHICAGO BULLS

Luol Deng is the Heat & Soul of this team.
Carlos Boozer will play games with your heart all season.
Joakim Noah going ELITE in his own little way.
Richard Hamilton is a very deep add, far from the player he once was.
Nate Robinson does not see consistent minutes.

MILWAUKE BUCKS

Monta Ellis is still a ball hog.
Brandon Jennings will get his shots in.
Mike Dunleavy can give you good 3PTM production.
No other Buck player will give you consistent nights.
Larry Sanders has ELITE potential down the line, minutes are an issue.

WASHINGTON WIZARDS

Nene is back and he looks as good as ever. Must-Own at this point.
Jordan Crawford is not as trustworthy as his owners want him to be.
Bradley Beal eats into his playing time.
Things will be more organized when John Wall returns.
Emeka Okafor and Kevin Seraphin cancel each other out.

ORLANDO MAGIC

Jameer Nelson is putting up low-end 2nd Round numbers.
J.J. Redick is a 3PT machine and putting low all-around numbers.
Aaron Afflalo is fitting in very well playing huge minutes.
Glen Davis is seeing less shot attempts this season>
No other player is worth trusting on that team.

CHARLOTTE BOBCATS

Kemba Walker has grown as a player this season great fantasy guard.
Byron Mullens is busting out of the gates being a poor man’s Bargnani.
Ramon Sessions and Ben Gordon ruin each other’s value. Both are decent.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist starting to play better, still not all the way there.
When Gerald Henderson returns it will get bad for all of them.
Bismack Biyombo should be on your waiver wire.

ATLANTA HAWKS

Al Horford playing well, he should be getting more numbers.
Josh Smith is doing his thing at a slower pace. He will get back into it.
Jeff Teague playing very well and fighting off Devin Harris.
Lou Williams/Kyle Korver/DeShawn Stevenson cancel each other out as consistent options.
Zaza Pachulia is a good emergency parachute at the center position if you need one.

MIAMI HEAT

Lebron James still cannot make free throws (67%).
Chris Bosh putting up great numbers (20/8 and a block).
Dwyane Wade will pick it up. Health is always a concern for him.
Ray Allen shooting 52% from 3PT range, his numbers will come.

MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES

Kevin Love is back and already averaging an insane 24 and 17. Fantasy MVP.
Ricky Rubio is an assist machine, add him he is coming back very soon.
Andrei Kirlenko losses some value with Love back, still gets you good all-around numbers.
Nikola Pekovic aka Gortat 2.0 is always a good player to have on your team.

UTAH JAZZ

Mo Williams injury makes team shaky.
Jamaal Tinsley is the short-term add if you need assists.
Paul Millsap and Derrick Favors are splitting time.
Al Jefferson is not scoring nearly at the rate he was last season.
Both Millsap and Jefferson are on my BUST list.

PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS

LaMarcus Aldridge is not playing at the same level because of a wrist injury.
Nicolas Batum has been up and down, still a top 5 Fantasy Basketball player (playing with flu).
Damian Lillard who I ranked higher than any expert is dominating the game.
J.J. Hickson is good for low-end double double numbers more nights than not.
Wesley Matthews is stroking it this year averaging nearly 18 a game.

OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER

Kevin Durant rebounding with aggression at 9.4 this season. Full package.
Russell Westbrook getting assists consistently now.
Kevin Martin finding ways to get his 15 Points.
Serge Ibaka putting up his ELITE numbers.
This is a great Thunder team, all of those guys are worth starting.

DENVER NUGGETS

Andre Iguodala is turning it up after a rough patch.
Ty Lawson is playing back to his old value as well.
Danilo Gallinari is only shooting 20% from 3PT Range.
His numbers will be scary when he heats up.
Kenneth Faried still putting up Manimal stats.
JaVale McGee can do wonders but is playing less than 20 minutes per game.
Andre Miller is a last resort at assists.

Blake Griffin starting to get much better. Still needs to work on those FTs.
Chris Paul has MVP talent every night.

Caron Butler is not consistent enough to trust.

L.A. LAKERS

Kobe is playing MVP good this season.
Dwight Howard needs more than 11.9 FG attempts a game.
Pau Gasol is playing at a low level, Buy Low now if you want to.
Metta World Peace is knocking down 3s and loves the D’Antoni offense.
Antawn Jamsion is a good add in deep leagues as I suggested the day D’Antoni was hired.
Steve Nash will make this offense flow and everyone will be productive when he returns.

NEW ORLEANS HORNETS

Ryan Anderson is a star while Antony Davis is out.
Which could be another two weeks.
Greivis Vasquez will have his superstar nights.
Robin Lopez is a good low-end starting Center.

HOUSTON ROCKETS

James Harden putting up Kobe like numbers.

Tim Duncan is playing at NBA Legend value right now.
Tony Parker is continuing his great season.

Rudy Gay playing at the old ELITE Gay value.
Zach Randolph first name 16 last name 13.
Marc Gasol only getting 7 rebounds a game thanks to Randolph.

  1. Wanted to find somethin to comment on but I agree with all the analyses! I love the Z-Bo first name last name ahaha.

I like buy low suggestion on Pau, gonna try it.

I hope Big Al doesn’t cool off, I traded Bargs for him in one league, I’m pretty confident I will win ROS.

  2. Munt, In my 12 team league I’m doing great, I’m pretty much only losing blocks and TO (9cat)
I want to improve my core wins, fg,ft 3’s,pts,rebs,assists,and steals
An owner in my league has a hard on for OJ Mayo and I am going to make an offer, do you have any strategy/advice for me?

    My Team
    Jrue Holiday
    Lou Williams
    Rajon Rondo
    Jason Richardson
    J.J. Hickson
    Zach Randolph
    LaMarcus Aldridge
    David Lee
    Carmelo Anthony
    Kevin Martin
    J.J. Redick
    O.J. Mayo
    George Hill

    His team

    Deron Williams
    Andre Miller
    Jeremy Pargo
    Manu Ginobili
    Derrick Favors
    Rudy Gay
    Nikola Vucevic
    Brook Lopez
    Bradley Beal
    Mike Conley
    Thaddeus Young
    Roy Hibbert
    Jason Thompson

  3. If you need points:

    Jamison
    Valunciunas
    Vucevic

    If you need rebounds:
    Valunciunas
    Vucevic
    Jamison

  4. Hibbert or Brook Lopez I mean – and you’d be getting a steal in upgrading Mayo. I wouldn’t trade him away for anyone else.

  5. Is this a possible resurgence for Ilyasova? Just picked him up in case. His upside is too high to leave on the wire, even though it’s just been one game

  6. It’s possible, but only if you have room on your bench. He’s off to a shaky start, and he plays for Skiles.
