The Orioles have endured a rough season to say the least. The only player who is really performing at peak levels is Manny Machado, while the pitching continues to be inconsistent like it is year after year. In between all the horrible Orioles play, the young promising star Jonathan Schoop is hitting less than .200 with only 8 HRs and 21 RBIs. Which makes him the perfect buy low candidate.
Schoop was a star last year with the Orioles recording 32 HRs and 105 RBIs while hitting .293. 3x last year, Schoop hit nearly 25 RBIs with around 8 HRs and he is always capable of putting up those big numbers. Baseball is a game of streaks, Didi Gregorious was on MVP talks after April hitting .330 with 10 HRs. Now it is July, Didi is hitting .255 with 15 HRs. Only 5 HRs in May/June. Ozzie Albies has 17 HRs on the season, only 3 of them came in June.
The Orioles are doing whatever they can to get their BEAST going, including benching him intentionally for the, “rest effect.”
Schoop and his price tag will never be less than this. You can probably trade Jonathan Villar for him straight up. The RBI and HRs will even out closer to his last year totals as oppose to his downward spiral season.

TANNER ROARK
Roark has been struggling, and if you read my article on Thursday for Baseball you would have noticed I said Roark is a good buy low. The problem with Roark is his chemistry with catcher Pedro Servino, since Wieters has gone on the DL, Roark has not had a Quality Start until Thursday against the Phillies. Pedro and Tanner are on two different pages which throws off Roark from the zone and it takes a long time to get his signs.
The Nationals are a competitive team and Roark is one of the arms this team has to depend on. Especially with Strasburg slowly recovering from an arm injury. Roark is a good buy low, he is getting better chemistry with Pedro and he can easily pick up a win in just about any matchup as long as he is on his game. When the Nationals make their run, Roark will pickup the slack.
