Fantasy Baseball Matt Kemp: Where Have You Been. All My Life.
Fantasy Baseball Matt Kemp:
Where Have You Been. All My Life.
Can you feel it. Can you feel that Spring Weather starting to push away that horrible winter. That means baseball season is coming back.
Before we get into any Fantasy Baseball content. Let us ask. Why should we trust Muntradamus?
My first full season as a Beastdome.com VIP with Muntradamus was a total success. I finally won a fantasy baseball championship!!!
Muntradamus was there to help me every step of the way this season. Draft day (the most nerve wracking day of the season for me) Muntradamus had a plan(Chris Davis!!!!!!!!!!!), and was there to guide me through every pick via Skype screen sharing. This VIP feature is worth the price of the entire VIP package to me. After draft day I felt very comfortable with the team he helped me build.”
With Muntradamus’ help i always felt reassured that I was making the right moves with my team. The inevitability of player injuries is there every season, and you need to quickly grab replacements that will keep your season’s momentum going. I had a few key players get injured over the course of the season. Muntradamus was pretty much always available through Skype chat to help me keep my team strong. I find that the hardest aspect of playing daily fantasy baseball is deciding which players on your team can be waived for those replacements that will make your team better. For the second season in a row he helped me grab a few crucial speed guys down the final stretch of the season in order to gain ground in stolen bases. This ultimately won me my championship.
I really can’t praise him enough for his help. Muntradamus is clearly obsessed with playing fantasy sports, and helping me win a championship became his obsession as well.
THANK YOU, “MUNTS”!!!

Where Have You Been. All My Life.
To open up the 2014 season, I want to talk about Matt Kemp, the once face of the Dodgers Franchise. Kemp had a terrible 2013 to say the least.
MATT KEMP – OF – LA
2013 Stats: 73 Games. 6 HR. 33 RBI. 9 SB. 270 Average
It could have been Hanley Ramirez’ fault for picking a Rihanna song for his batting music.
Bringing the Ghost of Rihanna (2010) back into Matt Kemps’ everyday life.
It could have been the fault of Yasiel Puig who all of a sudden stole the face of the Dodger Franchise.
While all of those are possible reasons, the most realistic reason why Matt Kemp struggled was injuries. Coming into the 2013 Season, Matt Kemp had a serious shoulder injury which required him to ditch weight lifting all off-season, and only light weight lifting during the season. Which showed in his 6 Total HR season.
Kemp was also bothered by an Ankle Injury in July sliding into home plate, right at the time when Kemp was finding his groove again. The ankle injury required off season surgery, and it is likely that Matt Kemp may not be ready for the start of the 2014 season.
Why Should I Draft Him
While the Ankle is resting as the Dodgers stay very catutious, the Lifting is able to take a priority in Kemp’s 2014 off season program. By Matt Kemp lifting with no running, he is giving himself a good shot at returning to his 40 HR self like he was back in 2012. While the Stolen Bases of Kemp were nice when he offered 30/30 potential. I would gladly take a 40 HR Kemp that pitchers fear. Forget the 30 SBs and expect him to be down to his 10-15 Range. But with great Power, comes great Reward. The Dodger Batting Order is Stacked and with the right mindset and right passion to get his face back as the face of the LA Dodgers. Matt Kemp will be Juicing big numbers this Fantasy Season.
Muntradamus 2014 Prediction:
310 Average. 35 HR. 110 RBI. 80 Runs. 12 SB.
Average Draft Position: 57
Lowest Expert Rank: 151
Matt Kemp is a BEAST. The only thing that Stops Matt Kemp from being an MVP this season is his mind. When Kemp starts getting into a Funk, at times it feels like he will stay in that Funk Forever. This season the Dodgers are going to make things challenging by keeping Andre Ethier as a 4th OF option. Both Carl Crawford and Yasiel Puig are too good to ever be benched. It is likely the Dodgers will be content saving Either as a late INN bat and the player who can give stars their one day off. It is a long Fantasy Baseball Season, 140 Games from Matt Kemp will be plenty.
While these numbers and potential are all good for Kemp, I am not saying he is a 1st Round Pick by any standards. But I am saying that he is a player you can target that will likely slip later than he should during your draft. Especially when he begins the season on the DL. There are always gems in the Waiver Wire at the OF position. If you can take a stab at a 1st Round Potential BEAST when healthy at a 5th-6th Round Price. You take that return on Investment and see if it pays out.
