BET OF THE DAY (June 15th):

 TEXAS MONEYLINE

There’s no such thing as a safe bet in baseball.  But this is it right here.  No way in the world Yu Darvish lets the struggling Astros do any damage off of him.  If he somehow does, then you have Jordan Lyles who will hope that not every pitch he throws is extra bases.  The Rangers offense will be smacking the ball in this one, and that is why you should take the Over at 10 Runs if you want insurance.  The only way the Astros win this game is by scoring at least 6 runs off of Yu Darvish, and somehow Lyles manages to throw a decent game with 3 ER.  Then the bullpen will do the rest for you.  Texas should for sure win this game.

Daily Pitcher Rankings (June 15th):

ELITE STARTS:

1. YU DARVISH VS. HOU

2. RYAN VOGELSONG @ SEA

3. CHRIS SALE @ LAD

GOOD STARTS:

4. CLAYTON KERSHAW VS. CWS

5. GIO GONZALEZ VS. NYY

Gio needs a big start in this one to snap out of his mini-funk of lasting an average of of 5 INN in his last two starts.  He will be tested to the max, and the real Gio will stand up.

6. KYLE LOHSE VS. KC

7. JUSTIN MASTERSON VS. PIT

8. DAN HAREN VS. AZ

9. DAISUKE MATSUZAKA @ CHC

10. VANCE WORLEY @ TOR

11. MATT MOORE VS. MIA

Moore has confidence going 2-0 with 3 QS’s in his last 4 starts.  The Marlins offense is starting to cool down a bit, and Matt faces Hanley and Giancarlo at the perfect time as both are in the midst of mini-slumps.

RISKY:

12. RYAN DEMPSTER VS. BOS

13. TOMMY HANSON VS. BAL

This is a start where he faces maybe the hottest offense in the AL.  They destroyed the Pirates to start the week.

13. JAMES MCDONALD @ CLE

14. FRANCISCO LIRANO VS. MIL

15. YOVANI GALLARDO @ MIN

16. PHIL HUGHES @ WAS

17. DILLON GEE VS. CIN

18. DREW HUTCHINSON VS. PHI

19. CASEY CROSBY VS. COL

20. BRONSON ARROYO @ NYM

21. TREVOR CAHILL @ LAA

22. JEFF FRANCIS @ DET

23. TRAVIS BLACKEY VS. SD

24. JASON VARGAS VS. SF

BAD STARTS:

25. ANTHONY BASS @ OAK

A bad start here will really question what type of pitcher the Padres have with Bass.  8.14 ERA last four starts.

27. BRIAN MATUSZ @ ATL

The Braves come into this game hungry, and Matusz is coming off of his worst start of the season allowing 4 ER in 2 INN at Boston.  This is a situation where he will be tested the entire game.

28. CARLOS ZAMBRANO @ TB

Zambrano comes into the game hurt, and giving up 7 ER in 2.1 INN against the Rays last week.  It would be best to avoid Carlos in a situation where he is cooling down from his hot start.

29. VIN MAZZARO @ STL

30. JORDON LYLES @ HOU
