BEAST DOME FANTASY FOOTBALL THE ALL-SHEEP TEAM (2015)

BEAST DOME FANTASY FOOTBALL

THE ALL-SHEEP TEAM (2015)

By Muntradamus

BEAST DOME NATION.

It is that time of the year, the Final Season awards. Yes we do have another week of action left, but at this point the Free Agent Waiver Wire is nearly garbage if you are still playing, and at this point we know who had a good season and who completely ruined your season. Tonight we are covering The All-Sheep Team. Players I told you not to Draft at all, based off of the Expert Consensus Ranking, aka the players your Sheep Opponents went after because of the Sheep Experts telling them to draft them.

Tomorrow is the All-BUST Team. Thursday is the All-BEAST Team and then Friday we have End of Season Testimonials.

THE ALL-AVOID TEAM

In order to make this team, I have to be one of the Top 99.9% Experts to say not to Draft This player. The Player also has to be Ranked within the Top 30 for Flex Position and Top 20 for QB, otherwise the player was only meant to be drafted as a Bench player. The point of the All-Sheep, is to Avoid the pitfall of wasting an early Draft Pick.

All of these decisions are based off of ECR (Expert Consensus Ranking) from FantasyPros, so while you may think I have Todd Gurley well below all the Experts, truth is all the Experts Ranked him where I did as my Rank was #29 and his ECR was #30.

Remember injuries do count. Last season I got killed on FantasyPros for Bust Picks only because they were injured.

*KEEP IN MIND ALL EXPERT SITES BESIDES BEAST DOME RANK THE SAME*

So if you see a player here, chances are your 2nd favorite Fantasy Expert ranked him exactly where the ECR is and promoted him as a player to Draft.

QB

TONY ROMO – DAL

MUNTRADAMUS RANK QB #14

ECR RANK QB #9

When in Romo.

An article that was published to start the season came true. Romo and his old brittle body did not last two weeks. When he came back, it did not last another two weeks as he got injured in what was the most soul crushing defeat to the Panthers on Thanksgiving. With Defenses not having to respect the run to start the year, Romo took the Collarbone injury early which basically ruined his season. Probably his career.

RB

JAMAAL CHARLES – KC

MUNTRADAMUS RANK RB #14

ECR RANK RB #4

Blinded By The Light.

Jamaal has been one of the cornerstone BUST picks on BEAST DOME the last two years. His little frame always had me worried, and the fact he already tore his ACL earlier in his career was not a good recipe. After shutting me up the first few weeks of the season, Jamaal tore his ACL on his other leg. There is a huge risk with Jamaal going forward in his career, and the Chiefs somehow became a better team since he got injured. With that being said, Jamaal is no longer anywhere near a 1st/2nd Round RB after the injury.

RB

LE’VEON BELL – PIT

MUNTRADAMUS RANK RB #8

ECR RANK RB #2

The Closing Bell.

The suspension worried me, the fact that DeAngelo Williams looked like he was in his prime was a completely different issue. The tough schedule to close out the season, was the stamp I needed to mark Le’Veon Bell as a BUST. Bell, like Charles was doing a good job of keeping me quiet to start the season, and then the dreadful Torn MCL ended his season early. I love Le’Veon as a player and I think he is amazing to watch, but a Torn MCL is one of the worst injuries for a RB to suffer. To add to the fact that DeAngelo Williams will likely be with the Steelers next season makes Bell a Late 1st Round Pick at best, and I would probably still pass on him in that situation. DeAngelo will be a crucial part of the Steelers offense next season.

WR

TY HILTON – IND

MUNTRADAMUS RANK WR #26

ECR RANK WR #10

Stayed at a Hilton.

T.Y. is the last type of player I would ever advocate Fantasy Owners to take. He was drafted as early as the 2nd round in most leagues, and he has been nothing short of a HUGE Bust. You can blame the Andrew Luck injury, but once again TY failed to score consistently this season as he only has a TD in 3 of 15 games. Two of those games he scored multiple times, and 11 of the 12 games he did not score, he was a WR#3 at BEST.

Too much risk with T.Y. with that deep Colts WR core. A player to avoid in the future unless the Colts clean house.

WR

DAVANTE ADAMS – GB

MUNTRADAMUS RANK WR #37

ECR RANK WR #21

One Night Stand.

Last season I could not be more wrong about Jarrett Boykin who was not able to bring into the rotation of Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb in 2014. This season I learned from my mistake, and as soon as Jordy Nelson went down, everyone jumped on Davante Adams as if he was the next Jordy Nelson. While I liked his promise, I quickly fell in love with James Jones the second he was signed by the Packers. Needless to say, Davante Adams was a favorite of all the Experts and I was the only one who liked James Jones.

WR

KEENAN ALLEN – SD

MUNTRADAMUS RANK WR #34

ECR RANK WR #18

I felt Keenan Allen was getting too much love with all the Chargers weapons Rivers had this season. To start the season, Allen was shutting me up as he was playing amazing Football, but then like Charles and Bell, Allen found himself injured and shutdown early. While I will admit this pick was trending in the wrong direction, at the end of the day my advice was correct to avoid him as the loss of him was a huge gut punch. At least I got the Stevie Johnson vs. Malcolm Floyd pick correct.

TE

ZACH ERTZ – PHI

MUNTRADAMUS RANK TE #19

ECR RANK TE #10

Ertz-Rent-A-Bust

Every season all the Experts love Zach Ertz as if he was the next Wesley Walls. Every season they could not be more wrong, and that trend continued. While Ertz may have finally found his stride these last three games, the first 11 had him on the Waiver Wire in every league. Even Brent Celek was outperforming Ertz in most games. At the end of the day, Ertz was a waste of an early Draft Pick and you could have had Delanie Walker instead.

ALL- BUST BENCH

QB

COLIN KAEPERNICK – QB

MUNTRADAMUS RANK #23

ECR RANK #17

Colin Kaepernick seemed to have the tools to have a big season. The addition of Torrey Smith was huge for his vertical game, and Carlos Hyde appeared ready to bring a HUGE threat to the running game. What the Experts did not account for was that Kaepernick looked horrible during the preseason. End result, Colin was not worth the draft pick and now he is trying to sell his App “Game Time Football with Colin Kaepernick.” Looks like it takes place in Arena Football leagues, something that may come true with Colin’s future.

RB

JEREMY HILL – CIN

MUNTRADAMUS RANK #13

ECR RANK #7

Giovani Bernard was healthy coming into the 2015 season. The reason why Jeremy Hill ran away with the job last season was because the Bengals used up their quota of hits on Giovani Bernard the first few weeks of the season. In 2015, the split was nearly even for most of the season leaving Jeremy Hill as nothing more than a Goal Line RB. Jeremy is starting to pull away now that the hits have started to add up on Gio, but for the most part Hill was a waste of a 2nd Round Pick in all leagues as he yet to rush for over 100 yards in a game and has only top 50 Yards rushing in 6 of his 15 games.

RB

JUSTIN FORSETT – BAL

MUNTRADAMUS RANK #22

ECR RANK #12

I was calling for a Justin Forsett Injury before you were even born. After seeing a record amount of touches last year (287) for himself, and over the prime age heading into 30 Years Old. Forsett was due to breakdown as defenses were ready to tee off on the small 5’8 195 lb RB. Forsett was banged up nearly the entire year, but then he finally broke. Only lasting 10 games this season, Forsett scored 2 Touchdowns.

RB

ANDRE ELLINGTON – ARI

MUNTRADAMUS RANK RB #32

ECR RANK RB #20

Last season I called for an Andre Ellington injury, it happened. This season I was calling for an Andre Ellington injury, as well as how impressive David Johnson looked during the preseason, including the signing of CJ2K. He was a clear stay away RB and the only reason I ranked him as high as I did is because he was the starter. First Andre got injured, then CJ2K took over, then David Johnson took over. Andre Ellington has been a Bust in Back-2-Back seasons.

RB

AMEER ABDULLAH – DET

MUNTRADAMUS RANK #43

ECR RANK #25

Nobody generated more hype this preseason than Ameer Abdullah. After cutting his way to a 50+ Yard Rushing TD against the Jets in the first preseason game. Everyone was ready to get on their knees to give Abdullah all the praise of a consistent RB #2. Even me being a big Lions supporter this season with Stafford, I was not convinced as I knew Joique Bell was not as down as everyone thought he was, and nobody was giving any love to Theo Riddick besides myself. I did not buy into the Abdullah hype, and Abdullah is the reason the Lions are not in the Playoffs. Nobody killed more drives but rushing for no gain on 1st down.

RB

JOSEPH RANDLE – DAL

MUNTRADAMUS RANK RB #41

ECR RANK RB #29

Just because the Cowboys said Randle was the starting RB, like Sheep all the Experts promoted him to a Low-End RB#2. Despite the fact that Randle never did anything his entire career, and Run DMC looked 100% during the preseason. All the Sheep Experts pushed the Underwear stealing RB, and all they did was push them to a waste of a draft pick.

RB

CJ SPILLER – NO

MUNTRADAMUS RANK RB #37

ECR RANK RB #27

I took like many believed that CJ Spiller was going to be a vital part of the Saints offense in replacing Graham. Until CJ had to sit out the entire preseason for a knee scope surgery. When you add to the fact that Khiry Robinson looked like a BEAST and Mark Ingram is Mark Ingram, the ceiling on CJ Spiller was looking pretty low and he was more or less a risky PPR option. All the experts still believed in CJ, I on the other hand did not.

WR

DESEAN JACKSON – WAS

MUNTRADAMUS RANK WR #36

ECR RANK WR #24

We can say this one was correct because of injuries, but Desean Jackson is ranked this low because he is so injury prone. The wind can knock him over and he was injured for all of the preseason and then injured himself Week 1 running a go route. While there is no doubting his talent, there is doubting his durability. Desean has been a BEAST since returning, more like a more consistent T.Y. Hilton, but for the most part. Desean is a Risky WR#2 who could burn you and you are maybe better off going with Ted Ginn.

WR

NELSON AGHOLOR – PHI

MUNTRADAMUS RANK WR #47

ECR RANK WR #29

For some reason, every expert failed to see that the Eagles had a boat load of WR’s. From Miles Austin to Riley Cooper, Nelson Agholor was another fish in the pond. Yet everyone said the next Jeremy Maclin. Needless to say, Agholor is on every Waiver Wire and even with Miles Austin gone, Nelson is nothing more than a risky WR#4.

TE

JORDAN CAMERON – MIA

MUNTRADAMUS RANK TE #12

ECR RANK TE #6

Everyone figured if Jordan Cameron can put up good numbers with Brandon Weeden at QB, he would be a BEAST with Ryan Tannehill. Tannehill has been awful this season, and in the process Jordan Cameron has done nothing all year and is sitting on every waiver wire with nobody ready to pounce. With only 380 Yards and 2 TD’s, Cameron has yet to break double digits in a Week.

One Comment

  1. It has been a really weird season… I got a feeling that many fantasy goers are going to stop taking a running back in the early rounds due to high risk, high reward.

I just cleaned out my desk and found the CBS top 200 adp that was given to me in one of my leagues..(no, I did not use it, and had Matty Ice given me 1 more td….Championship easily wk 16, moving on….)

Here were there top rbs: Bell, Lacy, AP, Lynch, Charles, Cj Anderson, Jeremy Hill, Forte, Brown, Gronk…talk about craziness…

The craziest thing? They had Brandon Marshall at 64, and had Devante Adams at 55 AND Algohor at 60. They had Ivory at 58.

I think its safe to say BeastDome is the way to go. Lynch did not pan out for most of us, but Marshall at 64, and Steve Smith Sr at 94, Ivory at 58, you are talking some seriously stealing right here…Fitzmagic’s not even listed haha, now that was a boneified steal.
