Fantasy Football: WEEK 8 BUSTS

*Sit these guys if you have better options.  Players selected were based on highest differential ECR (Expert Consensus Ranking).

*Due to Fantasy Basketball Drafts all Week, this article has been limited to only a few players.  Check my Rankings if you want to find more.

JAY CUTLER – QB – CHI

Muntradamus QB Rank: #21

Expert QB Rank: #15

The fact Cutler failed to throw for over 200 Yards against a Lions pass defense that really has not stopped anyone.  Even Christian Ponder.  I expect this to be a rough game for Cutler that I would not want to  use him for.  Brandon Marshall is going to get 90% of his stats, the Bears running game will do the rest.

JAMAAL CHARLES – RB – KC

Muntradamus RB Rank: #13

Expert RB Rank: #2

With Brady Quinn at QB, expect the Raiders to make sure Charles does not beat them.  Last week when Blaine Gabbert got injured, the Jags running game stopped doing anything.  This could be a similar situation as the Raiders can stop the run if they commit to it.

MARSHAWN LYNCH – RB – SEA

Muntradamus RB Rank: #13

Expert RB Rank: #6

Beast Mode faces up against a good Lions front 7 that can stop the run.  Lynch can run through any defense, and 100 Yards is not out of the picture.  This is not the type of matchup you dream about.

MILES AUSTIN – WR – ARI

Muntradamus WR Rank: #26

Expert WR Rank: #15

Never has Dez and Miles been productive in the same game.  Productive meaning both double digits.  Romo seems to not be able to spread the ball around, and the better matchup is Dez Bryant this week as he is the player that needs to stretch the field to give Felix Jones more running room.

WES WELKER – WR – NE

Muntradamus WR Rank: #25

Expert WR Rank: #12

I expect Cortland Finnegan to matchup on Wes.  This is the first week he has a player that has the speed and power to prevent Wes from being the player that beats them.  With Julian Edleman also taking a lot of his snaps, I would look for a safer option than Wes Welker Sunday if there was one.

KYLE RUDOLPH – TE – MIN

Muntradamus TE Rank: #17

Expert TE Rank: #9

Christian Ponder disappointed.  Not surprised, which means Rudolph did not produce.  Once again, not surprised.

BLAIR WALSH – K – MIN

Muntradamus K Rank: #18

Expert K Rank: #10

1/1 in Bust Kicker picks.  Not ranked #2 in the industry at this category by coincidence.  I have my formulas for kicker.

FALCONS – D/ST – ATL

Muntradamus D/ST Rank: #14

Expert D/ST Rank: #9

Atlanta could have a monster game, but I expect Michael Vick to come out as a new man.  He has a lot to prove this week, and the first thing he has to prove is that he will not turnover the ball.  There are better options than ATL’s defense this week on the road in Philadelphia.
